Important LGBTQIA+ figures and their place in history are often absent from the everyday materials through which young people discover the past.
Rainbow Restoration explored a trading-card format that could make those people and stories visible, collectable and easier to discuss.
The concept did not become an ongoing Helping Group service. It is retained here as part of the organisation’s project archive.
Case study
Rainbow Restoration asked whether a familiar, tangible format could create a more approachable way to encounter LGBTQIA+ history.
The project remained a concept rather than becoming a public service. Its archive page records the question it tried to answer without presenting it as work that is still in development.
